Viruses have been known to be found in water sources, especially in certain locations and areas with poor sanitation and hygiene practices. Waterborne viruses can cause illnesses such as gastroenteritis, hepatitis A, polio and various other viruses related illnesses. Known to be transmitted through water sources that are contaminated with faecal matter or from infected individuals who use the same water sources. Proper water treatments, sanitations practices and filtration systems can reduce or remove the risk of waterborne viral infections.
