Radial flow design water filter cartridges are a particular type of filter cartridge configuration used for water filtration, characterized by the way water flows through the cartridge, providing efficient and effective filtration for various applications. In a radial flow designed cartridge, water enters the filter from outside and flows radially (outward) towards the centre of the cartridge as opposed to the more common axial flow design, where water flows in a straight line from one end of the cartridge to the other. This flow path reduces the likelihood of clogging compared to the axial flow design, which aids in the prevention of sediment formation accumulating within the core of the filter. Radial flow cartridges use a combination of different filter media, such as sediment filtration, activated carbon, and other specialty media, to achieve a multi-stage filtration process which allows for longer contact time with the media, enhancing filtration efficiency. These filters remove various contaminants, including sediment, particles, chlorine, chemicals, taste and odour compounds and other impurities present in the water.
