Nanoparticles are extremely small particles that can range in size from 1 to 100 nanometres, found in various products such as sunscreens, cosmetics, and even in some foods and water products. When it comes to water, some nanoparticles may be intentionally added for various purposes, such as to remove or reduce contaminants or to provide antimicrobial properties. However, there is also a concern about the unintentional presence of nanoparticles in water sources as a result of industrial processes or other environmental factors. With the potential health effects of over exposure to nanoparticles in water are still being studied, a continued need is essential for additional research to better understand the risks and harm that may occur through water consumption.
